My March Fitness and Wellness Goals for a Balanced Routine

One thing I’ve learned over the past few years is that consistency almost always matters more than intensity.

Instead of constantly changing routines or chasing the “perfect” workout plan, I’ve found that the habits that stick are usually the simplest ones — getting enough sleep, moving my body regularly, and spending time outside every day.

Going into March, I wanted to focus on a few habits that help me feel my best physically and mentally. Nothing extreme, just small routines that make my days feel balanced.

Here are my March fitness goals and wellness goals I’m focusing on this month.

March Fitness and Wellness Goals for a Balanced Routine

Building a Routine That Supports My Days

One of the biggest things that helps me stay consistent is having a routine that feels realistic.

For me, that starts the night before.

I try to be in bed around 9:30pm, giving myself time to wind down before sleep. Instead of scrolling on my phone, I’ve been prioritizing reading before bed, which has become one of my favorite ways to relax.

I also use a Hatch Restore Alarm Clock, which has been a game changer for my nighttime routine. It lets me avoid turning on overhead lights and helps limit blue light before bed, making it easier to fall asleep.

Good sleep makes everything else easier the next day.

My Morning Routine

Getting enough rest helps me wake up feeling ready to start the day.

Most mornings I wake up between 7:00 and 7:30, which gives me time to ease into the day before work starts.

My mornings usually include:

  • warm lemon water
  • a walk with the dogs
  • coffee and breakfast
  • movement later in the morning

If you want a full look at how my mornings typically unfold, I shared more about it in my post on my simple morning routine for a balanced day.

My March Wellness Goals

This month I wanted to set a few simple goals that help me stay consistent with the habits that make me feel good.

10,000 Steps Outside Every Day

Getting outside is something that makes a huge difference in my mood and energy.

This month I’m aiming for 10,000 steps outside every day, whether that’s through dog walks, beach walks, or just getting outside whenever I can.

Living near the coast makes this goal a lot easier and honestly a lot more enjoyable.

Wake Up by 7:30 Every Morning

Sleep has become a much bigger priority for me lately.

Waking up around 7:30 each morning gives me enough time to start the day slowly while still staying productive.

A consistent wake-up time helps keep my energy levels steady throughout the week.

No Added Sugar

Another goal for March is cutting out added sugar.

This isn’t about being restrictive, but more about focusing on meals that help me feel energized and balanced throughout the day.

I’ve been prioritizing high-protein meals and simple foods that keep me full and fueled.

Showing Up Consistently Online

Another small goal this month is showing up consistently on social media.

I’m aiming to post on my personal Instagram stories and Seventh Shore Instagram stories every day.

For me, social media is less about perfection and more about sharing the process of what I’m building, whether that’s workouts, routines, or things happening behind the scenes with Seventh Shore.

My Workout Routine Right Now

Right now my workout routine is pretty simple and something I’ve been enjoying a lot.

I typically do spin classes two to three times per week, which gives me a mix of cardio and strength training.

Alongside that, I try to include two to three strength workouts during the week.

The combination of cycling, strength training, and daily walking keeps my routine balanced without feeling overwhelming.

Why Simple Goals Work Best

One thing I’ve realized over time is that the routines that actually stick are the ones that feel sustainable.

Instead of trying to overhaul everything at once, I like focusing on a few small habits that support how I want to feel each day.

For me, that means:

  • prioritizing sleep
  • moving my body regularly
  • getting outside every day
  • and creating routines that make my days feel calm and balanced

March is really about leaning into those habits and keeping things simple.

I’m excited to keep leaning into these routines and see how the month unfolds. For me, the best wellness habits are always the ones that feel simple and sustainable.

Much love from the coast,
Haley
